Our story began with a serendipitous meeting between Mohammad Asrawi and Tareq Zayed, two Palestinians who found themselves far from home in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. A conversation sparked over their shared heritage and language, and soon, a friendship grew—one rooted in culture, ambition, and a deep love for authentic Palestinian and Mediterranean flavors. Living in Maine, we missed the vibrant, fresh dishes of our homeland. The local options never quite captured the true essence of the food we cherished. So when an opportunity arose—a small space in the local mall’s food court—we made a determined decision. With passion, hard work, and a shared vision, we set out to create something great: a place where every hungry person could experience the rich, comforting flavors of home. This is more than just a restaurant to us—it’s a taste of tradition, a celebration of heritage, and an invitation to share in the warmth of Palestinian hospitality.
